An evening of sensational jazz and Latin classics with Hilary Cameron’s soulful vocals and piano and Barbara Snow’s mellow trumpet.. With Blow the Fuse hosts Deirdre Cartwright on guitar, Alison Rayner on double bass and Buster Birch on drums.

HILARY CAMERON
Hilary is a London-based Jazz artist with roots in classical music. She studied jazz piano and voice at Manhattan School of Music and has performed at the Jazz Standard and Central Park in New York City.

She has toured with Gail Ann Dorsey Band, Womack and Womack, salsa band Candela and recorded two albums with ‘Just East of Jazz’. She has performed with her own jazz trio at the Vortex and 606 club, recorded with Clare Hirst and played Ronnie Scott’s with the Michele Drees Band.

She has more recently re-discovered her latin roots with Chico Chica. Alongside this band Hilary continues to play at jazz venues backing British artists such as Alan Barnes, Steve Waterman and Julian Marc Stringle.

 

BARBARA SNOW
Barbara is a trumpet player, singer, piano player, arranger and composer who has toured globally and recorded with artists such as Paul Weller’s Style Council, Jools Holland’s Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, Blow Monkeys, Maxi Priest, Carmel and Manic Street Preachers among others.

She has played countless sessions in different genres such as Afrobeat (Tony Allen), Reggae (Fashion Records eg Smiley Culture), Soca and Jazz (eg James Taylor Quartet).

As well as being a full –time member of Roberto Pla’s Latin Jazz Ensemble, she recorded a latin flavoured cd of her own band Que Barbara and is a part of the Latin-based trio Chico Chica alongside Hilary Cameron and Tom Hannah.
