JAN’S BAR SPECIAL – Thursday April 18

Zoe Lewis will be playing with us in her ONLY London appearance.
Resident in Provincetown, Zoe is a wonderful performer who writes and sings great songs about life, freckled with fun and laughter, sometimes poignant but always warm. She describes her style as “worldbeat vaudeville” which can include cajun, jazz, bossa-novas and folk music.
“Probably the most charismatic performance I’ve ever seen” Accessline IA

Zoe Lewis – vocals, piano, guitar, ukulele, Deirdre Cartwright – guitar, Alison Rayner – double bass

New season of Tomorrow the Moon begins at the Vortex on Wednesday 13 March

Tomorrow-moon-II-webSP1

Three double bills at the Vortex Jazz Club featuring some of the UK’s finest contemporary jazz with support from a younger generation of rising stars.

This season we are once again funded by the PRS for Music Foundation and Jazz Services Small Promoters Scheme – many thanks to them for making this series possible.
AND we also have a Fairy Godmother and Godfather this season – Chloe and Seamus de Souza, who have helped toward the costs of these fabulous evenings. A special thank you to them.

Wednesday March 13th we begin with a rare London appearance from accordion virtuoso Karen Street, latin grooves and wonderful melodies from around the world, with support from young Dublin born singer Lauren Kinsella.
Her band also features Laura Jurd on trumpet who appeared in our last season and is definitely a young woman to watch. We’re really looking forward to these three gigs and we have another three planned for the Autumn.

All YOU need to do to support us is come along, be intrigued, be fascinated, be delighted and enjoy TOMORROW THE MOON II.
Book tickets online now – see the direct links below and hope to see you there!
